IBM Notes(formerly Lotus Notes) and IBM Domino are the client and server, respectively, of a collaborative client-server software platform from IBM. IBM Notes provides business collaboration functionality, including email, calendars, to do lists, contacts management, teamrooms, discussion forums, file sharing, microblogging, instant messaging, blogs, and user directories. IBM Notes also provides access to and integration with other IBM Domino applications and databases and IBM Notes 9 Social Edition.

XPages is a rapid web and mobile application development technology. It allows data from IBM Lotus Notes ( ‘IBM Notes’) and Relational Databases to be displayed to browser clients on all platforms.The programming model is based on web development languages and standards including JavaScript, Ajax, Java, the Dojo Toolkit, Server-side JavaScript and JavaServer Faces. XPages uses IBM Lotus Domino, IBM’s rapid application development platform, including functionality such as the document-oriented database.

SQL (Structured Query Language) is a special-purpose programming language designed for managing data held in a relational database management system (RDBMS).Originally based upon relational algebra and tuple relational calculus, SQL consists of a data definition language and a data manipulation language. Programs written for .NET Framework execute in a software environment (as contrasted to hardware environment), known as the Common Language Runtime (CLR), an application virtual machine that provides services such as security,memory management,and exception handling.

ASP.NET is a server-side Web application framework designed for Web development to produce dynamic Web pages. It was developed by Microsoft to allow programmers to build dynamic web sites, web applications and web services.Web development technologies such as PHP, JSP, and ASP. With ASP.NET Framework 2.0, Microsoft introduced a new code-behind model which allows static text to remain on the .aspx page, while dynamic code remains in an .aspx.vb or .aspx.cs or .aspx.fs file.

Mobile application development is the process by which application software is developed for low-power handheld devices, such as personal digital assistants, enterprise digital assistants or mobile phones.
